Register to Vote!

The Scottish Parliament Election will be on May 6th.

If you or someone in your household are not registered to vote, go to:

or contact The Highland & Western Isles Electoral Registration Office to request a paper registration form.

You must be 16 or over on 6 May 2021 to vote in this election and must register to vote by 19 April 2021.

Voting by Post

Polling Stations will be open and following all public health advice with appropriate hygiene and physical distancing measures in place. In the current circumstances, particularly the COVID pandemic, you may be thinking about perhaps voting by post.

If so, and you are not already registered to vote by post, you must get your application form in by 5.00pm on 6 April 2021.

You must complete the application form in full using black ink, providing your signature and date of birth.  This information is needed to prevent fraud. Special arrangements are in place if you’re unable to provide a signature. Please call 0800 393 783 for further details if needed.

You can return the completed application form to any of the local electoral registration offices by post or by email to absentvote@highland.gov.uk – They can only accept black & white clear scanned images under 10MB.
